This policy explains how Solwat Green Energy Ltd ("Solwat", "we", "us"), which runs Solwat Green Maintenance, uses personal information when you visit this website, book a service or become a customer, and the choices you have.

What we collect
- Service requests: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, preferred contact method, details of your system and any notes you add when you use our booking form, email or call us.
- Customers: your address, system details, service and repair records, photos of the equipment, and payment and contract records.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser details, which our hosting provider logs to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it and our lawful basis
- To reply to your request, arrange a visit and prepare a quote – legitimate interests and taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
- To service, maintain and repair your system, keep a service history and support warranty claims – performance of a contract.
- To keep tax and accounting records – legal obligation.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We only share what is needed, with:
- Our website and email service providers: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (stores contact form submissions) and Resend (delivers form notifications to our inbox).
- Google Maps – only if you accept cookies, so that we can show the map.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces used on this site. Your browser downloads the fonts from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address. Google Fonts does not set cookies.
- When you become a customer: equipment manufacturers, parts suppliers and warranty providers, as needed to repair your system or make a warranty claim.
- Our professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to work: up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Customer and installation records: for 6 years after our contract ends, or longer where needed for warranties, guarantees and scheme requirements.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Contact us using the details above and we'll respond within one month.
